Our form across the last three months drastically picked up with the shift to the new tactical approach. Could we maintain that over the course of the rest of the season though? Have a read on to find out how we did in my second season in charge of Vitória on FM19. Continue reading “Sempre Vitória | Season Two | Three”

Sempre Vitória | Season Two | Two
Season two didn’t start well, but things were starting to look up. A revamped tactical approach had seen form begin to pick up and a run of results put together towards the end of the last post. Could we continue that form throughout December and January? We’ve got a fair few matches to play… Continue reading “Sempre Vitória | Season Two | Two”
Sempre Vitória | Season Two | 4-1-2-3 Tactic
The start to competitive football in season two hasn’t been positive. We’ve struggled for consistency and really struggled to create meaningful goalscoring chances. At the time of starting to write this post, at the end of October 2019 in-game, we’re languishing in the bottom half of the league on nine points from eight matches. Continue reading “Sempre Vitória | Season Two | 4-1-2-3 Tactic”

Sempre Vitória | Season One Review
So that’s the end of my first season in charge of Vitória on FM19. I can’t complain at all, my aim of qualifying for the Europa League was achieved as we finished 3rd in the Premeira Liga behind champions Porto and runners up Benfica.
Here’s how the season stacked up stats-wise and generally how the club has progressed so far. Continue reading “Sempre Vitória | Season One Review”
Sempre Vitória | Season One | Five
The tail end of the season is here. My Vitória side goes in to the last few months sitting in 3rd spot. There’s no hope of a late title challenge, but there’s still plenty of work to do to seal a top five spot to make sure European football comes to Guimarães next season. Continue reading “Sempre Vitória | Season One | Five”
Sempre Vitória | Season One | Four
I’m so glad January is over. What an absolutely abysmal month it was for us. It included a 3-1 league defeat against our rivals and being knocked out of both domestic cup competitions, falling short against Nacional in the Taca de Portugal 6th round (quarter final) and the semi final of the Taca da Liga against Porto.
This post has a tactical tweak, more player signings and our best month of the season so far. What a treat. Read on! Continue reading “Sempre Vitória | Season One | Four”
Sempre Vitória | Season One | Three
The season is flying by and I’m loving managing Vitória on FM19 so far…
I’ve reached the January transfer window, plus there’s the small matter of some matches to play as well, including a quarter final and semi final in both domestic cup competitions. Have a read on to see what happened across the month. Continue reading “Sempre Vitória | Season One | Three”
Sempre Vitória | Season One | Two
In update one we’d made a poor initial start to the league season but turned it around with four wins and a draw in our five league fixtures since the defeat on matchday one.
That saw us sitting third in the league, behind Porto and Benfica. Could we sustain that level of form? Continue reading “Sempre Vitória | Season One | Two”
